JEANNE MONTAGUE
Jeanne Montague has over 25 years of experience in corporate finance including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures as well as private placements of debt or equity capital. As the founder of Montague Partners in 1989 and later the co-founder of Comann & Montague in 1993, she has developed a nationwide practice that focuses on privately-held middle market companies and provides them with a level of creativity, professional experience and global perspective typically found only in much larger firms.
Previously, Ms. Montague was a Senior Manager in the Corporate Finance practice of Price Waterhouse from 1988-1989. She also has four years of direct operating experience as the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Chemoil Corporation, a $3 billion oil trading company. From 1975 to 1984, Ms. Montague had corporate lending responsibility with Bank of America, where she worked with major multinational customers arranging short and long-term debt financings. During that time, she also directed the Bank’s nationwide activities in financing leveraged buyouts.
Ms. Montague received a B.A. in Political Science from Connecticut College and an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia University, Graduate School of Business. For several years, she was a guest lecturer at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in the entrepreneurial studies curriculum. She also has been a speaker at Practicing Law Institute forums, ACG and at the Women in Leadership Program at the University of California’s Haas School of Business.
Adam Murphy has worked with middle market companies as an investor and advisor for the last 13 years. Over that time, he has executed numerous transactions that have raised over $500 million in debt and equity capital. In 2006, Mr. Murphy founded Vaughan Partners, LLC, a private investment company that pursues debt and equity investments in middle market companies undergoing a transition. Through flexible and innovative transaction structures, Vaughan creates capital solutions that help companies achieve their strategic objectives.
Prior to founding Vaughan Partners, Mr. Murphy was with KZC Catalyst Partners from 1999 to 2005. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Murphy was with Heritage Partners, Inc., a Boston-based private equity firm focused on equity recapitalizations of family owned businesses. Prior to Heritage, he worked in the High Yield Corporate Finance department of Chemical Securities.
Mr. Murphy earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Denver and an M.B.A. with High Distinction from the University of Michigan
